New Roof!

                         New Roof for Maplewood Academy!

Maplewood Academy celebrated a very merry Christmas this year!  Thanks to the generous support of our friends and alumni, Maplewood received the gift of a new roof on our administration building!  We are excited and truly grateful!

In March 2011, Maplewood started a campaign to raise funds for the roof.  Our previous roof had lasted a good 21 years, but time took its toll and the MWA board decided a new roof couldn't wait any longer.  Praise God, alumni and friends showered us with support, including a $100,000 gift that quickly put us over our $150,000 campaign goal.

Due to the busy schedules of the roofing companies and the uncooperative weather, we weren't able to have the repairs made during the summer as we had hoped, but on December 5th, Laraway Roofing, a trusted roof company in the community, began work on our new roof and before Christmas break had finished, they transformed our old roof into a beautiful brand new one!

We want to thank each of you who supported us in this endeavor.  You made a new roof possible for us and we are so grateful!  God bless!

  1. Where are the pictures of the finished roof? I can't wait to see them, and the school is very lucky that all of you supported the cause. 21 years is, indeed, a long time, considering all the weather disturbances it has faced. Congrats on getting a new roof! :)

  2. Congratulations on your new roof! Now, you guys don't have to worry about roof problems. The school must be grateful for those who supported its project. Just wondering, did you give any token of appreciation to your benefactors?

  3. A token of appreciation would be nice to show their gratitude, but nothing beats the feeling of giving to the ones in need without asking in return. :D Hope the roof is still up and well.
