New Roof for Maplewood Academy!
Maplewood Academy celebrated a very merry Christmas this year! Thanks to the generous support of our friends and alumni, Maplewood received the gift of a new roof on our administration building! We are excited and truly grateful!
In March 2011, Maplewood started a campaign to raise funds for the roof. Our previous roof had lasted a good 21 years, but time took its toll and the MWA board decided a new roof couldn't wait any longer. Praise God, alumni and friends showered us with support, including a $100,000 gift that quickly put us over our $150,000 campaign goal. Due to the busy schedules of the roofing companies and the uncooperative weather, we weren't able to have the repairs made during the summer as we had hoped, but on December 5th, Laraway Roofing, a trusted roof company in the community, began work on our new roof and before Christmas break had finished, they transformed our old roof into a beautiful brand new one!
